Ian Mitchell
Ian has 19 years of insurance industry experience having started at a National Insurer in 2005 in a support role. He has since held numerous roles on both the insurer and broker sides of the business, ultimately finding a home within the MGA space as an Underwriter at a Specialty wholesaler in 2015. Graduating to a Team Lead position and continuing to expand his underwriting expertise which lead to a role as an Underwriting Manager with a National MGA, were he mentored and built out a successful team of underwriters within the region.
He is considered a specialist in writing Construction, Entertainment, Sports and Recreation, and hard-to-place liability. He is currently a board member on the Windsor Essex County Insurance Brokers Association as well as the Insurance Institute of Southwestern Ontario.
At Vailo Ian will be responsible overseeing Vailo’s growth in the Ontario region.
